![]() As history has changed my opinions on some.Ģ017 hasn't been a productive year as far as finishing games goes. Inspired by reworking of his GOTY lists with games he's played since then, this list is going to be an amalgation of all the games listed within my GOTY lists, and then reordered from best to worst. The idea is to build GOTY lists that are constantly in flux, ever adapting themselves to a new year's worth of catch-up gaming. Same deal as the 2015 GOTY (Adjusted) list (and also the others, found here (2013), here (2016) and here (2017). Unfortunately, the list feels a bit forced. Instead, you get a list of the best of what I did play. Unlike 2015, I just didn't have enough time or desire to play through enough of 2016's games to write a list solely dedicated to this year's releases. No science involved, just arbitrary emotional whims. Just so it's clear, this is a personal list. Well, I'm 30 now (Yikes!), as such, I present a list of games I've enjoyed the most over the past three decades. Order is rough and often not for gameplay reasons, like Rez being above Child of Eden. Mainly because the challenges in these games involve spatial problems that go beyond mere mortal comprehension, most of them also play with the poetics of space in weir. Here is a list of the best games for architects in my humble architect opinion. Top games for Architects that may involve puzzles! Here's hoping I beat 2015's meager record - I'm intending to play a lot of smaller games this year, just as soon as I'm done. This is like the sixth or seventh List of Games Beaten now. Ģ016! I've played some video games in that year. With the vast amount of brilliant games from 2015, I suspect I'll still be plugging. ![]() I write a new one every year: a list of games that I couldn't find time for in the previous year, and so have added to this year's agenda. I would love to beat every game I play, but that's not a feasible goal in the least bit. This list is a list of every single game I've played this year for at least an hour or more. ![]() I'm Attempting to Keep Track of Every Game I Played in 2015 Will I reach my lofty goal? Who knows! We'll find out together. I did one of these last year, and I'm doing one this year! I'm also going to take a page from book and aim to complete over 100 games this year. A huge bummer that The Talos Principle was released so late in the year, if it were released earlier, I'm. I thought this was a genuinely great year for games - my all time favourite game was released, as well as some other absolutely fantastic games. ![]() I somehow managed to play 13 games that were released this year, and while I may play another before the year is out, my #1 for the year is s. Partly due to being broke, partly due to being in college again. Lighter year for me compared to last year. So honorable mention - I played Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag this year, and if I played it last year, it might have been near the top of my list. Honorable mentions include Danganronpa 2, Monument Valley, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. My biggest issue with this game is with Kyrat itself, it's not a very interestin. Not to say it was the weakest year in gaming.īefore getting to the good stuff I feel as if I should start on a more unhappy note. 2014 was kind of a weak year as far as the top tier goes, at least in respect to the streak of years prior making it difficult to limit oneself to 10 games for a best of list. Perhaps for absurdity's sake, perhaps to try and convince myself to kick the "childish" habit whatever the case, I now have pro. So somewhere in the darkness of the late 90s, I decided that the breadth of games that I had gone through merited a list. Įverybody's doing it, so why can't I? I've been gaming since the 80's (my first real game was Radar Rat Race on the Commodore VIC-20), so I've had the opportunity to experience some pretty awesome games over the years. In most cases I am counting playing up to the credits as completing the game.Įvery game I have ever played, including expansion packs but not including demos.ĬonsoleNumber of Games finished on.Publication DatesGame Release Date.
